The Creative Mind Behind Mac Boyz
With a lifelong passion for food and creativity, Erik Forman is the culinary force behind Mac Boyz—a brand dedicated to redefining what mac and cheese can be. A proud graduate of The International Culinary Center (formerly The French Culinary Institute), Erik has intentionally built a diverse and deeply rooted foundation in the culinary arts.
From early on, Erik immersed himself in every opportunity to learn. He volunteered tirelessly at the prestigious James Beard House, assisted at school events alongside pastry chefs and master chefs, and interned for ICC’s Culinary Entrepreneurship program. His approach was simple: absorb knowledge from anyone and everyone willing to teach.
Erik’s professional journey spans the full spectrum of the food world. He’s cooked on the line at rustic spots like The Meatball Shop, stepped into fine dining at NYC’s iconic Tavern on the Green, tested recipes for the Food Network, served as a Cheese Specialist at The Fresh Market, and helped shape new culinary minds as an Instructor and ServSafe Proctor at the Gateway Center.
But his experience didn’t stop in the States. Erik took his love for food abroad, traveling through Spain, Portugal, and Italy to deepen his cultural understanding of cuisine—an influence that now flavors everything on the Mac Boyz menu.

Originally from New York City and now based in Atlanta, Erik is on a mission to create the most unique and flavorful mac and cheese dishes ever served.
